Q: How much do the rainbarrels cost?
A: Rainbarrels are $80 each
Q: Is there a price break for purchasing multiple barrels?
Q: What color are the barrels?
A: Terra cotta.
Q: What is the capacity of each barrel?
A: The rainbarrels will hold 55-60 gallons each.
Q: Is this a recycled barrel?
A: Each rainbarrel was originally used to ship food products – olives, primarily.
Q: Does Scott Key Center install the barrels?
A: No. You will have to do that yourself or consult with a home improvement contractor.
Q: Are there installation instructions available?
A: Each barrel comes with a “Users Guide” that includes installation instructions.
Q: How does the water get inside the barrel?
A: Once you have directed a downspout into the top of the barrel, the water passes through a mesh screen, through holes in the lid, and then into the barrel.
Q: How do you get the water out of the barrel?
A: There is a brass spigot on the bottom of the barrel.
Q: What happens when the barrel is full?
A: Your rainbarrel includes an overflow hose that can be directed away from the barrel. * During times of extreme rainfall water may spill over the sides of the barrel.
Q: Can I connect my garden hose to the spigot?
A: Yes! The spigot is compatible with garden hoses. Remember: your rainbarrel operates with gravity. The hose must be below the lowest part of the rainbarrel in order for it to drain completely.
